Product Warranty

Life happens. We understand and are here to work with you. We stand behind our product and guarantee that all items are free from manufacturing defects. If you believe there is a manufacturing defect, contact us immediately for an inspection of the piece. If the defect is a result of poor manufacturing, we will repair (or if necessary, replace the item as close to like/kind/quality) the item at no cost to you. If it is determined that the damage was not caused by a manufacturing defect, we will notify you and let you know what repair services will be needed to remedy the damage.
Handmade items that are not machine-made contain slight irregularities and variations. These traits are considered part of the character of the piece and should not be considered a defect. The same idea applies to natural diamonds and gemstones. The internal characteristics are "birthmarks" of your stone and represent character (which are great identifiers of your stone, too). It does not indicate potential problems.
Exclusions
Fine jewelry is not invincible to normal wear, activities, or trauma. Rings are a great example for this as rings are on your hands and are subjected to considerable abuse.
We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear and tear, product loss, loss of large stones, or theft. Please see our Appraisal Services for more information on loss or theft. Damage or loss that results from failure to regularly maintain your item is not covered.
Maintenance, repair, sizing, or other services performed by another party other than Brian Nicklaus Jewelry LLC on a piece of jewelry created by Brian Nicklaus Jewelry LLC, will void your manufacturing warranty with us.
Common issues that are not covered:
Loss of a stone or a stone that has fallen out due to chipping or breaking caused by normal wear and tear or other damage.
Bent, caught, or worn out prongs allowing the stone to fall out due to normal wear or other damage.
Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, swimming pools, hot tubs, bathing, etc.
To dos
We, as individuals, go to the doctor and visit the dentist regularly to ensure we are in top health. Same goes for your jewelry. Fine jewelry is a luxury item and needs proper care. We recommend having your fine jewelry items cleaned and inspected every six months (or sooner if you experience any sort of trauma).
Regular inspection may help prevent potential loss of a stone and extend the life of your jewelry.
Cleaning and inspections is a free service that we offer to our customers that purchase the piece from Brian Nicklaus Jewelry LLC.
